River Pawmadeus Dax is a good kitty from Birmingham, Alabama that has captivated strays across the southeast for generations with his unique approach to atonal music.
Born in 2017, River spent the beginning of his life bouncing between the streets and animal shelters of Birmingham. In 2023, he teamed up with local musician Cj Griffith and discovered his natural talent on the piano. Cj gave him lessons to hone his skills, and River quickly started writing his own material.
With his 2025 LP I Land on My Feet, he became the first animal in history to release a solo piano album.
His second album, Feral, is out now.
